If the irradiance (black dashed line) drops below the threshold at any time in the forthcoming 2–5 min, actual conditions are flagged as non-persistent. While instances at the green diamonds represent persistent conditions, red diamonds indicate non-persistence. The past 10 min are considered in the definition of a constant clear sky period.
