Library Description Components
ThermoPower [16]
  • A Modelica library developed for the dynamic simulation of thermal power plants and energy conversion systems;

  • Does not contain models for high-level combustion processes, but contains several basic models which may be used for the assembling of such models (such as combustion chambers, gas flow models and water flow models).

  • Pipes

  • Tank

  • Pump (modified version)

  • Basic components for the development of the tunnel kiln and boiler models

WaterWatt [17]
  • A Modelica libraries developed for the modelling and simulation of industrial water circuits;

  • A considerable part of the component models are adapted from the component models of ThermoPower;

  • The theoretical assumptions taken in this work in respect to the component models constituent of the water circuit encompassed in the STES are the ones described by Oliveira and Iten [12];

  • The hydraulic phenomena associated to pipe, tank and pump models is described by equations (1)(3), respectively.

Soltermica [18]
  • A Modelica library developed for the simulation of low temperature solar thermal systems, focusing on the design of solar water heating systems;

  • Its focus is on residential buildings.
